About American Real Estate Advisors

American Real Estate Advisors is a full service real estate appraisal and consultation association of proven real estate professionals. Our primary activity is the appraisal of income producing real estate for federally regulated depositor/ institutions. We consider our primary area to be Bay, Saginaw, and Midland counties in central Michigan. Additionally, we appraise real estate in the northern counties of the thumb and lower peninsula of the state as well as special projects on a national basis.

Our allegiance is to Market Value and we strictly adhere to the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice in our reports. We prepare our reports on income producing property in a full narrative format which includes all of the data and basis, as well as discussion, on how we formulated our opinions.

In addition to appraising income producing properties described above we also provide consultation services in real estate and related areas. These services include feasibility studies for new construction, trade area studies for commercial clients, highest and best use studies for land developers, and strategic plans for real estate asset deployment.

Additionally, we provide confidential site selection services, buyer's brokerage and analysis of real estate investment opportunities. We will, on a case by case basis, provide mortgage banking services and consultation to depository institutions on mortgage loan production and underwriting.

About 40% of our work is preformed for federally regulated depository institutions. These include commercial banks, savings and loans, credit unions and savings banks. Another 40% is with governments. These include the State, County, City and special situations such as the Department of Natural Resources, Highway Department and Resolution Trust Corporation. The remaining 20% is divided among corporations, individuals and insurance companies.
